History

First things first, how do you pronounce our name? Tri-COLOR or tricola or TRI-cola… either way it’s potayTOE, potAtoe… as long as you think to call us first. It’s pronounced ‘trick-o-lah’ (said quickly) like the French, Irish or Indian flag… and here’s the reason why. The Tricolor represents change, equality, access for all and a new way forward. It elicits pride, emotion and a feeling of engagement and that’s exactly what we want to do for our clients.

We’re an ethical business and believe that change, great results and genuine returns are based on the principle of great communications that comes from talking to people as people and representing your organisation in a clear, open and understanding way. After all, businesses are not the sum of your P&L – they are people – staff, shareholders, customers, executives, funders – the lot. We help our clients build relationships and these relationships bear fruit.

Flying the flag since 2005

TricolorTM has grown out of a five year development plan launched by the team in 2005, where we began to grow the business out of a sole tradership, to a limited liability partnership to what it is today, a limited company with a fantastic track record.

As part of our growth strategy, we take our brand very seriously, having trademarked the name in Autumn 2010 as TricolorTM. By doing this we are investing in the future of our business, adding value and goodwill to the company which has grown steadily since the partners decided to join forces in 2005.

As for the future, we’d like to be the communications agency of choice for organisations who need to outsource marketing, development and fundraising project work and we plan on getting there by remaining engaging, affordable and by delivering results.
